Every month 8th - 12th graders gather on Sunday Nights for different opportunities! Here's what goes on!
1st Sunday of the Month - Movie Night - The 1st Sunday is always Movie Night. Come to The House at 6pm to enjoy a light dinner and a movie! (Popcorn of course will always be availalbe as well!) After the movie ends, we'll take some time to discuss the themes of the movie, and how they intersect with our faith lives! The evening ends by 8:30pm.
2nd Sunday of the Month - Service - Serving others is an important part of our walk with Christ, so each moth, we take time out to make sure we're giving back to others. It could be by taking part in an already planned event (like the CROP Walk each October) or by doing something on our own, either at church, or out in the community. Check the calendar and newsletter to see what we're doing each month! (Many times service events will happen during the afternoon, instead of the normal 6pm time).
3rd Sunday of the Month - Activity! - On the 3rd Sunday of the Month, we all gather together for an activity of some kind! This is usually a fellowship event (such as a Polaroid Scavenger Hunt, going to a sporting event, etc.) where we get together and get to know each other better, and just have alot of fun! Check the newsletter each month to see what this month's activity is!
4th SATURDAY of the Month - Word Diving - This is not your usual boring, sit in a circle and read from the Bible type of "diving into the word". We're going to make the words on the apge come alive through our looking into it! And most of all, we're going to really wrestle with what any of this stuff that was written over 2,000 years ago might have to do with our lives today. Come join us in September when we begin a look at the book of Philippians!

Confirmation Orientation Wed., August 27 at 6:00 p.m. in Room #210.
Confirmation is ministry with 8th and 9th grade youth and their families. Not only are youth engaged in learning, they are also involved in serving and fellowship activities. The schedule rotates through a series of Learning Events, Small Groups Service Events, Them Nights, and Parent's Place nights. For more information, please e-mail Jim by clicking here!

Each summer our high school youth (usually starting with students who have just finished 8th grade) head out on a journey to encounter Christ and his people in unfamiliar places! In the past the group has gone to the ELCA National Youth Gathering (the 2009 Gathering will be in New Orleans - Registrations are due by September 14th, e-mail Jim for more information), Colorado on a backpacking experience, worked with people with disabilities in Nebraska, and gone on a mission trip to Puerto Rico and the Bahamas as well!
