Marvell, Arkansas June 24 - July 1

YouthWorks has designed this mission trip. The purpose of YouthWorks is to connect teenagers to God, each other and communities through life-changing Christ-centered mission trips.

We will travel by van to Marvell, AR, stopping in St. Louis along the way. Marvell is a small farming community on the Mississippi River Delta, where residents struggle with poverty and depend on cotton and soybean crops as their source of income. The people of Marvell have huge hearts and leave a lasting impact on everyone who spends time with them. If you ever run into someone who’s spent time with YouthWorks in Marvell, you may find them wearing a T-shirt that says, “I left my heart in Marvell, Arkansas.” Does that seem surprising? After a week in Marvell, it won’t!

The trip will include a lot of hands on activities, ie: painting, small projects, and spending time at the local Kids Club interacting with children playing games, reading, ... Youth will also have a chance to meet other youth groups who will be working in Marvell at the same time. A typical day starts with breakfast and morning devotions, followed by time at individual ministry sites. Youth will have free time before dinner, an evening activity, large group gathering, and then church group time to recap the day's events.

Registration packets are available at church. Questions? Contact Kris Gallert, kris.gallert@oslc-wi.org
