Join Our Savior's Faith Family

Our Savior's Lutheran Church offers a New Member Orientation several times during the year. Through interactive learning, the pastors teach about the Christian faith, baptism, Lutheranism, and Our Savior's history. Through small group discussion, led by the pastors and New Member Coordinator, Robin Lovely, you'll get to know others coming to this community of faith. Following this orientation and your covenant commitment, you will become a member. You may join our church prior to attending the New Member Orientation but we strongly recommend attending one of these informative and fun sessions. You can contact Robin Lovely with further questions or to sign up by using the Contact Us link below.

If you have been attending our church and would like to join, please check the would like to join section of our friendship pad located on the pews. Please provide your phone number or email so we can contact you.

NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 11:45 AM

Our vision is to reach every person with the love of Christ.

There is something for everyone at Our Savior's to INVOLVE people in the life of the church. The connections made within the congregation strengthen fellowship and help those in the community fulfill the ministry Jesus called us to do.

Small group involvement provides fellowship in events like Bible Study (day and evening groups), Men In Mission, Girls Night Out, Mom's G.I.F.T. (Moms Growing in Faith Together), D.A.B.S. (Dads Afraid of Bible Study), Prayer Shawl Ministry, Dinners for 8, Sewing Groups, Book Clubs, Bowling and Softball teams, ... The annual Smorgasbord February 16, 2011, Christmas Cookie Sale, and Vacation Bible School bring the community together with Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Spiritual needs and support can also be met through our prayer chains, small groups, and home communion services.

Our Savior's is committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. We INVITE you to be our guest for WORSHIP and to check out what we are doing at the church and in the community.

At Our Savior's we NURTURE people in a wide variety of ways. We offer traditional and contemporary worship. These Spirit-led services are filled with music performed by our children and adult choirs, praise band, brass ensemble and hand bell choirs. The sermons offer practical and uplifting messages based on the Bible.

Children are a cherished element of Our Savior's. A special children's message is part of each Sunday worship service. Children's Church, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School are just a few of the ways Jesus' message is shared with the little ones.

The Youth at Our Savior's provide special energy and promise as they grow in Christ. Confirmation classes, group outings and mission trips promote the leadership skills they will use as they take our church community into the future.

Adult Education, Bible Study and an abundance of ministry opportunities are available to enhance the lives of all our adult members.

Our Savior's is blessed to have numerous opportunities where we SEND our congregation out to serve others.

The youth participate in annual mission trips. They have worked to improve conditions and do God's work in many diverse places including a community in the Appalachian Mountains and a youth camp in the Bahamas. This year they attended the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans and served by painting and cleaning a school in New Orleans. They also are serving in Bethphage Village, Nebraska. College age youth continue to serve in New Orleans each year during their winter break.

We have several mission partners: Transfiguration Lutheran Church in the Bronx, NY, The Meru Diocese and Kikatiti Parish in Tanzania and Reformation Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.

Members of our congregation regularly support the Oconomowoc Food Pantry, The Lake Area Free Clinic, and Lutherdale, to name a few. We raise funds and awareness through events like Relay for Life, Imagination Station, Lake Walk for Cancer and the Crop Walk.

Please join us...visitors are expected and always welcomed!
