Lent: FORGIVEN

Lent: FORGIVEN

FORGIVEN

forgiven logo 2018 lent.jpg

Forgiveness is an act of God’s grace. Jesus encourages us to practice forgiveness with our neighbor. The Bible encourages forgiving others - even mandates it. The forgiveness we offer to others reflects the forgiveness we have received. We should be as generous with others as God is with us - because it’s the right thing to do - and it shows the love of Christ dwelling in us. In this series, it is important to recognize that sin affects our world and we suffer the consequences of sin that is not our own fault. Jesus wants to heal/forgive us from the effects of sin. The forgiveness of sin is a promise we can trust. Living in the light of that promise, we are able to walk in newness of life.
